Rough terrain scissor lifts provide construction, maintenance, and industrial teams secure aerial work platforms for reaching elevated work zones. The base of the scissor lift is generally wider, and the platform itself can hold several workers at once. When the lift extends, the interlocking struts beneath the platform provide longitudinal support, which provides a stable, flat surface. The base of the lift also comes with heavy-duty tires designed to tread uneven surfaces. Some models can handle gradations up to 50 percent, making scissor lifts a better alternative to ladders. Scissor lifts are also recommended for outdoor tasks with limited space. Boom lifts may provide the range, but they also require more floor space, which is not always available.
